A Designer entity can be made into a template. This is sensible for an entity that has properties you want to use for subsequent entities. Turning an entity into a template flags that entity as “Template” and makes it appear in the list of templates when you create a new entity of that type. The new template is treated like any other template; updates to the template are not retroactive.
To convert a Designer entity into a template, from the entity’s Action menu, select Edit >
Advanced > Make Template.
Click OK at the prompt.
