Setting the Primary Job Server for a ClusterLast Updated: 12/02/2015 Introduced in Verision: 2.0 |
Server clustering allows for active load balancing, as well as active/active or active/passive failover in the event of a server failure. The Primary Job Server is the member of the cluster that is responsible for allocating jobs to all members of the cluster.
To set the primary job server for a cluster, navigate to the System > Settings folder, select Clustering Settings and select the Edit Clustering Settings action. In the resulting pop-up, select a server in the Job Server Name drop-down list to act as the primary job server, and then click Save.
Example
Begin by navigating to the System > Settings folder.
In the Folder Data panel, select Clustering Settings and select the Edit Clustering Settings action.
In the resulting pop-up, designate a new cluster member as the primary job server by selecting Server2 in the Job Server Name dropdown.
This completes our configuration change. Click the Save button to close the pop-up.
