Search by Tags

After a tag has been added to an entity, a user can perform a search using this tag. The search results will list all entities that have the tag.

To search using tags, click the search icon to the left of the address bar, then enter a tag in the second field in the Advanced Search panel.

 

Search results are limited by a user’s permissions. If the user does not have permission to access an entity, that entity will not be returned in the search results.

Example

In the example, we search for an entity by entering a tag, then view the entity in the search results.

To start the search, click the Search icon to the left of the address bar to open the Advanced Search panel.

 

 

Enter the tag in the second field labelled [type here to search by tags]. We could also click this field and select the tag from the drop-down list. Additional filters could be applied by entering that data in the other search fields. For this example, the search will be done just by the tag.

Click Find.

 

The search results, listing all entities that have the tag searched for, display in the Browse panel. To view an entity, click the entity name.
