Creating Text and Blurb SummariesLast Updated: 12/03/2015 Introduced in Verision: 2.0
Text and Blurb Summaries give a report’s users a short version of the data in each row on a report. Summaries are customized to include the text and column data of the user’s choice.
To add a summary to a report, in the Report Designer, click the Add in the views section and select the type of summary from the drop down menu.
In the box, enter a combination of the text and columns to create the summary. The user could enter a summary such as “The folder ID is [folder_id]”.
Enter text in the box. From the list of available columns, drag a column to the box to include the column data in the summary.
To add a Blurb Summary, follow the same procedure as was just done with the Text Summary, then enter any combination of text and columns in the box to create the summary. The user could enter a summary such as “The entity folder ID is: [entity_folder_id]”.
Save the report and close the Report Designer.
To view the report Text and Blurb Summary, select the Report Actions Menu and select Run Report. The report is run and displayed in the gird view with other icons to use for the Blurb and Text Summary.
To view the Text Summary, click on the View Mode: Text icon.
To view the Blurb Summary, click on the View Mode: Blurb icon.
