You can create a chat session from within the portal. Once the chat session has been created, you can invite users and groups to the chat session and add documents to it.
Begin by navigating to the folder to contain the chat, clicking the Add button, and selecting Chat.
In the Add Chat pop-up, configure the following fields:
- Chat Title – Name for the chat.
- Chat Type – Either Closed or Open Ended.
- Chat Closing Options – Either Archive, Delete, or History.
- Chat Inactivity Period (In Minutes) – Duration after the fact, the chat is considered inactive and therefore, closed.
To open the chat window to invite users, click the chat name in the folder data panel.
In the Chat window, invite users or groups to the chat. Enter text in the field at the bottom of the Chat window. The chat text displays in the box in the center of the window.
