Globally Update a Tag

A tag name may become redundant or obsolete and can be changed.

 

Change a tag’s name and the update is reflected throughout the system. Every entity assoicated with the tag will then have the updated tag name. A user can search on the updated tag name, and the entities with the updated tag name will display in the serach results.

 

To change a tag’s name, navigate to the folder System > Administration > System Data > Tags, select the tag, and select Rename Tag.

Example

This example will rename a tag, then view the update on an entity thumbnail.

 

To begin, navigate to the folder System > Administration > System Data > Tags. Select the tag name to update in the folder data panel, and select Rename Tag from the entity actions menu in the lower right.

 

 

Enter the new name and click OK.

 

 

The tag name in the folder data panel reflects the updates.

 

 

Entities associated with the tag also reflect the new name.
