Adding Run Report Links to a Page

Navigation links allow you to further customize your portal pages, by providing users with quick access to folders, URLs, flows, reports, or the service catalog.

Add a Run Report link to a new page, or edit an existing page to include the link. A Run Report link is associated with an existing report.

When a user clicks a Run Report link, the report runs. Configure the link in the Page Designer, by dragging a Run Report component associated with a specific report to the workspace.


In the example, we create a page, add a Run Report component to the page, then see the link in action. This example assumes that the report Folder Report already exists and is stored in the Designer Folder.

To begin, navigate to a Designer folder and click the Create Page/Dashboard button.



On the New Page pop-up, enter the page name and click OK.



In the Page Designer, in the Toolbox panel, expand the category Reports > [Existing Reports] > [Current Folder] > Report: Folder Report.  Select the ‘Run Report’ As link component and drag it to the workspace.



This completes adding the Run Report link to the page, save the page and close the Page Designer.

To preview the page with the link, we click the page’s thumbnail, and select View > Preview Page from its Action menu.



The page with the link to run the report displays. We click the link . . .



. . .  and the report runs.
