The Decisions platform can use application layer load balancing through any IIS load balancer implementation. The load balancer must be configured with sticky sessions, since the server that the user connects to needs to be the same throughout the session.
There is no need to duplicate the Decisions database.
Clustering and use of load balancing together provide redundancy.
